Air Foodlift Subsidy Criteria
2011/2012 Criteria
- The Air Foodlift Subsidy (AFS) program will be a supplement of the federal Nutrition North Canada program for a one-year pilot project. Retailers/Wholesalers must be a participant under the Nutrition North Canada program to avail of the AFS program.
- The AFS will continue to provide an 80 per cent air freight subsidy on eligible food items from the NNC Category 1 list and 100 per cent air subsidy on fresh milk after the NNC subsidy has been applied.
- Only those items identified in the eligible food list will be covered during the AFS program.
- Pricing of food items must be visible to the customer (i.e., pricing to be placed on shelving or product).
